''We do not want a church that will move with the world. We want a church that will move the world.'' -G.K. Chesterton
To glorify God through the fulfillment of the great commission. We are a church that loves God and loves people as we share life together.
Worship is about giving of gifts from God to God, and as believers it is our privilege to come before His throne in humble worship. Worship is so much more than an event, it must be a lifestyle lived each day God gives us breath. Here at Sharon we enjoy a blended style of worship that is purely God-centered, as we are merely instruments in His hands.

Click to GiveOur children's ministry is committed to teaching the Bible to children from birth to 6th grade through engaging, age-appropriate activities, in a safe and loving environment. Through Bible stories, music and creative lessons, our desire is to grow children in their knowledge of Biblical truths, their love and understanding of God and in their development of a personal relationship with Jesus.
Proverbs 27:17 states, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." This means that the rubbing of two iron blades together makes the edges sharper, making the knives more efficient in their task to cut and slice. Similarly, the Word of God is a "double-edged sword" (Hebrews 4:12), and it is with this that we are to sharpen one another in times of meeting, fellowship, or any other interaction. The concept of "iron sharpening iron" implies at least two pieces of iron, and it would be impossible for one tool to become sharper without the presence of the other. This simple Proverb illustrates an important biblical principle and one the men of Sharon wish to emulate.
Sharon partners with the East Texas Food Bank - Tyler branch to provide groceries to qualifying individuals in the East Tyler area. We are also exploring/financing a new avenue of meal donation funded exclusively by members and community giving.
